Mark Trout is the Chief Technology and Information Officer for Vivint Solar. Mark serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for overall systems development, implementation, and information technology operations. He has spent more than 20 years in Silicon Valley with leading high-tech companies and excels at navigating IT organizations through periods of significant transition and transformational change. His extensive experience includes roles as Business IT Executive, Chief Transformation Officer and Client Service Leader.

Prior to joining Vivint Solar, Mark was recruited by eBay to revitalize the Product Development, Professional Services and SaaS hosting operations for eBay’s Enterprise Business Unit. In his role as Chief Transformation Officer, he developed and executed a multi-year strategic plan for the development of the new Enterprise platform.

Prior to eBay, Mark was a Managing Partner at the international consultancy firm, Accenture. As Managing Partner for Accenture’s Electronics and High-Tech industry group, Mark obtained a spectrum of responsibilities and achievements. Among these were direct oversight for sales operations and management of all client accounts for Accenture’s High Tech industry practice. His execution and delivery focus is the key to the success he brings to our group.

Throughout Mark’s career, his successes have been based on a foundation of business acumen and technical breadth. Building high performing teams has been a highlight for him and the successes which these teams have achieved.

Mark has a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and is APICS certified.
